  Good morning, all appraiser committee members. I come from class 2. I am Chen Tingting and my supervisor is Prof. Zhu. With his constant encouragement and

  guidance, I have finished my paper. Now, it is the show time. I will present my efforts to you and welcome any correction.

  The title of my paper is An Analysis on English Vocabulary Learning from Morphological Perspective. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. Firstly, since Prof. Zhu taught us lexicology at junior, I was fond of lexicology and tried to find the mastery of it. Secondly, with the development of the society, international communication has become more frequent. In the meantime, English language is playing a more and more important role at present, and more and more people begin to learn it. However, during my internship, I found lots of people have difficulty in learning English. As we all know, vocabulary is one of the most important elements in English learning. Therefore, accumulating large vocabulary is necessary to English learners. While Morphology is the study of morphemes and their different forms and the way they combine in word formation. Therefore, making a survey of morphology is helpful to English language learners. Last but not the least, as an English teacher, researching this subject is helpful to my teaching work in the near future. For the above facts, I select the subject an analysis on English vocabulary learning from perspective of morphology as the title of my paper.

  I hope by studying this topic we can know the importance of English vocabulary and enlarge learners’ English vocabulary by analyzing and mastering its structure and characteristics from the perspective of morphology.

  Next, what I will present to you is the outline of my paper. In the main part o this paper, I pide it into five parts.

  Part one r

epresents an introduction to the basic concepts of morphology and emphasizes the importance of it.

  Part two is literature review which introduces the relevant research about morphology at home and abroad.

  Part three discusses the morphology structures of English words, which are basic units of a word.

  Part four represents three important word formations in details, including affixation, compounding and conversion. Knowing these rules can help English learners remember words well. In this part, I also give some examples to help readers to have a better understand.

  Finally, in the conclusion, I summarize the previous parts and emphasize the significance of English vocabulary again.
