My name is Lily and I am from the beautiful city of Shanghai, China. I am excited to introduce myself and share a bit about my life with all of you.
I am currently a sophomore at Shanghai International Studies University, majoring in English Language and Literature. Ever since I was little, I have had a passion for languages and different cultures. That is why I chose to study English and pursue a career in translation and interpretation. I am also taking a minor in Spanish because I believe that being multilingual will open up many opportunities for me in the future.
Apart from my academic pursuits, I am an active member of the university's debate club. I enjoy engaging in intellectual discussions and learning how to express my opinions effectively. Being part of the debate club has also helped me improve my critical thinking skills and expand my knowledge on a wide range of topics.
In my free time, I love reading novels and writing short stories. I find that literature allows me to escape reality and immerse myself in different worlds. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places. So far, I have been fortunate enough to visit several countries in Asia and Europe, and each trip has enriched my understanding of different cultures and broadened my horizons.
I am a firm believer in the importance of giving back to the community. That is why I volunteer at a local orphanage during my summer breaks. Spending time with the children and making a positive impact in their lives brings me great joy and fulfillment.
In the future, I hope to become a successful translator and work for an international organization. I also aspire to continue traveling and experiencing new cultures firsthand.
