高一英语暑假日记 篇一
This summer vacation, I had the opportunity to travel to Beijing with my family. It was a fantastic experience filled with sightseeing, delicious food, and cultural exploration.
We visited famous landmarks such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace. The Great Wall was absolutely breathtaking, stretching as far as the eye could see. Walking along the ancient stones, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the history and craftsmanship that went into building such a magnificent structure.
In the Forbidden City, I marveled at the intricate architecture and beautiful gardens. It was like stepping back in time to the days of emperors and dynasties. The Summer Palace, with its serene lake and lush greenery, provided a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Of course, no trip to Beijing would be complete without trying the local cuisine. From Peking duck to steamed dumplings, I indulged in a variety of delicious dishes that left me craving more. The flavors and aromas of authentic Chinese food are truly unmatched.
In addition to sightseeing and eating, I also took the time to learn more about Chinese culture. I attended a traditional tea ceremony, practiced calligraphy, and even tried my hand at making dumplings. It was a hands-on experience that deepened my appreciation for the rich heritage of China.
Overall, my trip to Beijing was an unforgettable adventure that opened my eyes to the beauty and diversity of the world. I returned home with a newfound sense of curiosity and a desire to continue exploring new places and cultures.

During this summer break, I decided to challenge myself by taking on a part-time job at a local bookstore. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to learn new skills, meet interesting people, and earn some extra money.
Working at the bookstore, I was responsible for organizing shelves, assisting customers, and recommending books. I quickly realized that there was so much more to running a bookstore than I had ever imagined. From categorizing books by genre to helping customers find the perfect read, every task required attention to detail and a genuine love for literature.
One of the highlights of my job was interacting with customers. I enjoyed chatting with fellow book lovers, sharing recommendations, and hearing about their favorite authors. It was a great way to connect with people from all walks of life and learn about their unique tastes in literature.
In addition to the social aspect of the job, I also learned valuable skills such as time management, multitasking, and problem-solving. Balancing school, work, and personal life was challenging at times, but I found that with determination and perseverance, I was able to juggle all my responsibilities successfully.
By the end of the summer, I had not only gained practical experience but also developed a deeper appreciation for the power of books and the joy of reading. Working at the bookstore was a fulfilling experience that taught me the importance of hard work, dedication, and a passion for learning.
Overall, my part-time job at the bookstore was a summer well spent. It was an opportunity to grow, learn, and make lasting memories that I will carry with me for years to come.

Today I found time was a cruel thing. Whatever man is, time always goes on. It won’t stay to wait for somebody. You can’t use anything to exchange time. Time is also a fair thing. Although you have a lot of money or you enjoy high reputation, time won’t leave them more. Today I found I hadn’t enough time. Although I have more than a-month holiday, but I found I had a lot of things to do. I had a lot of homework to do and I am essential to complete the homework as soon as I have time.
