端午节初中英语日记 篇一

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival. It is a traditional Chinese holiday that falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. To celebrate this special day, my family and I woke up early in the morning to make zongzi, a traditional Chinese food made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves.

After preparing the zongzi, we went to watch the dragon boat races at the nearby river. The boats were beautifully decorated with dragon heads and tails, and the sound of drumbeats filled the air as the rowers paddled in sync. It was such an exciting and festive atmosphere, with crowds of people cheering on their favorite teams.

In the afternoon, we went to visit our relatives and friends to exchange zongzi and wish each other a happy Dragon Boat Festival. We also enjoyed some delicious rice dumplings and other traditional snacks together. It was a great opportunity to catch up with loved ones and strengthen our bonds.

As the day came to an end, we lit some incense and hung up some moxa leaves to ward off evil spirits and pray for good health and fortune. It was a meaningful way to end the festival and show respect for our ancestors.

Overall, I had a wonderful time celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival with my family and friends. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. I can't wait to do it all over again next year!

The Dragon Boat Festival, or Duanwu Festival, is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Today, I woke up early in the morning to the sound of firecrackers and the smell of zongzi being cooked in the kitchen. It was a busy yet exciting start to the day.

After breakfast, my family and I went to the park to watch the dragon boat races. The boats were colorful and majestic, with the rowers paddling fiercely to the beat of the drums. It was a thrilling sight to see, and I couldn't help but cheer on the teams as they raced towards the finish line.

In the afternoon, we gathered with our relatives and friends for a festive feast. We had an abundance of delicious food, including zongzi, dumplings, and other traditional dishes. It was a joyous occasion filled with laughter, storytelling, and good company.

As the sun began to set, we lit some incense and hung up some herbs to ward off evil spirits. We also made some paper boats and wrote our wishes on them before setting them afloat on the river. It was a beautiful and symbolic gesture to send our hopes and dreams out into the world.

As the day came to an end, I felt grateful for the time spent with my loved ones and the memories we created together. The Dragon Boat Festival is not just about the food and the races, but also about the bonds we share with one another. I can't wait to celebrate this special holiday again next year.

  端午节(The Dragon Boat Festival)

  06月02 星期一 天气:晴

The Dragon Boat Festival, also called Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar. It is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two being the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.

The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man, but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfav or in the emperors court.

Unable to regain the respect of the emperor, in his sorrow Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Because of their admiration for Chu Yuan, the local people living adjacent to the Mi Lo River rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons.

Although they were unable to find Chu Yuan, their efforts are s

till commemorated today during the Dragon Boat Festival.

  家乡的端午节(Hometown of Dragon Boat Festival)

At the end of the Zhou Dynasty, the area we now know as China had fallen into a state of fragmentation and conflict. While the Zhou dynasty had ruled for several centuries, several other states, originally feudal domains, tried to carve out their own kingdoms. The state of Qin would eventually emerge the victor and unify all of China under one rule for the first time in history.

Qu Yuan served as minister to the Zhou Emperor. A wise and articulate man, he was loved by the common people. He did much to fight against the rampant corruption that plagued the court-- thereby earning the envy and fear of other officials. Therefore, when he urged the emperor to avoid conflict with the Qin Kingdom, the officials pressured the Emperor to have him removed from service. In exile, he traveled, taught and wrote for several years. Hearing that the Zhou had been defeated by the Qin, he fell into despair and threw himself into the Milou River. His last poem reads:

Many a heavy sigh I have in my despair,Grieving that I was born in such an unlucky time.I yoked a team of jade dragons to a phoenix chariot,And waited for the wind to come,to sour up on my journey

As he was so loved by the people, fishermen rushed out in long boats, beating drums to scare the fish away, and throwing zong zi into the water to feed braver fish so that they would not eat Qu Yuans body.
