英语作文回忆性散文范文 篇一

Childhood Memories

When I think back on my childhood, one memory that always stands out is the time I spent at my grandparents' house. Every summer, my parents would send me to stay with them for a few weeks, and those were some of the happiest times of my life.

My grandparents lived in a small village surrounded by mountains and fields. Their house was old and cozy, with a big garden filled with colorful flowers and fruit trees. I loved running around the garden, picking strawberries and cherries, and chasing after butterflies.

Every morning, my grandmother would wake me up with the smell of freshly baked bread and homemade jam. We would sit together at the kitchen table, enjoying breakfast and chatting about everything and nothing. My grandfather would be outside, tending to his vegetable patch and feeding the chickens. I loved helping him in the garden, feeling the warm sun on my face and the cool earth beneath my feet.

In the afternoons, my grandparents would take me on long walks in the countryside. We would explore the woods, climb the hills, and splash in the river. I remember feeling so free and alive, surrounded by nature and the people I loved.

As the sun would set, we would all gather around the dinner table, sharing a simple meal and laughing at each other's jokes. My grandparents would tell me stories about their own childhood, about the war, about the hard times and the good times. I would listen with wide eyes, trying to imagine a world so different from my own.

At night, I would cuddle up in bed, feeling safe and loved. The sound of crickets outside my window, the smell of the old quilt my grandmother made, the warmth of my grandfather's hand on my forehead – these are the memories that I will always cherish.

Now that I am older, my grandparents are no longer with me. But whenever I feel lost or lonely, I close my eyes and go back to that old house in the village, to the garden, the kitchen, the woods. And I know that I am never truly alone, because their love and their memories will always be a part of me.

A Summer to Remember

One summer, when I was twelve years old, my family took a road trip across the country. It was a spontaneous decision, made on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.

We packed our bags, loaded up the car, and hit the road early in the morning. For days on end, we drove through endless fields and forests, small towns and big cities. We saw mountains and deserts, rivers and lakes, and every time we stopped to take a break, I felt like I was discovering a new world.

We visited national parks and historical sites, museums and art galleries. We hiked in the morning, swam in the afternoon, and watched the stars at night. I remember feeling so small and insignificant, yet so connected to the vastness of the world around me.

One day, we stumbled upon a small beach town on the coast. We decided to stay for a few days, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. We rented a little cottage by the sea, with a porch overlooking the water. We spent our days swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the town. I made friends with the local kids, learned how to surf, and even caught my first fish.

At night, we would sit on the porch, watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. My parents would talk about their own childhood adventures, and I would listen, feeling grateful for the memories we were creating together.

When it was time to go home, I felt a pang of sadness in my heart. I didn't want the summer to end, didn't want to leave behind the friends and the places that had become so dear to me. But as we drove back, I realized that the memories we had made would stay with me forever, a reminder of the joy and the magic of that unforgettable summer.

Years have passed since that road trip, but I still think back on it with a smile. It was a summer to remember, a time of discovery, adventure, and love. And no matter where life takes me, I know that I will always carry those memories in my heart.

英语作文回忆性散文范文 篇三

How time flies! Now I am a young man. Every time I open my photo album, those childish pictures of mine always remind me of the cheerful side of my childhood.

My family is not a rich one, but as I am the only child in my family, my parents love me very much. When I was a little kid, they were ready to do anything for me.

I still remember the evenings when, before going to bed, I asked my mother to tell me stories. She used to tell me fairy tales, most of which had a brave and honest boy as a hero. Having finished the story, my mother often patted me on the head gently, saying, ”My child, I hope you will be as good a boy as the hero in the story.” Now I am a student in senior two, I hope that I can live up to my mother’s expectations.

The memory of my childhood is like a sweet dream. Instead of trying going back to the happy childhood, I will try harder to make a promising future.
