The Tortoise and the Hare

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone,

Today, I am going to share with you one of the most famous fables of all time – "The Tortoise and the Hare."

Once upon a time, in a forest, there lived a tortoise and a hare. The hare was known for his extraordinary speed, while the tortoise was slow but determined. The hare was always boasting about his speed and making fun of the tortoise for being so slow. One day, tired of the hare's arrogance, the tortoise challenged him to a race.

The animals in the forest gathered around to witness the race. As the race began, the hare quickly dashed ahead, leaving the tortoise far behind. With his overconfidence, the hare decided to take a nap under a tree, thinking that he could easily catch up later. Meanwhile, the tortoise kept moving steadily, never giving up.

When the hare woke up from his nap, he was shocked to see the tortoise nearing the finish line. He sprinted as fast as he could, but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first, winning the race. The animals celebrated the tortoise's victory, and the hare was left feeling ashamed and regretful.

This story teaches us an important lesson – slow and steady wins the race. The hare's arrogance and overconfidence caused him to underestimate the tortoise. He thought that his natural talent was enough to secure his victory, but he was wrong. On the other hand, the tortoise's determination and perseverance paid off, despite his slow speed.

In our lives, we often come across situations where we feel tempted to take shortcuts or become complacent. We may compare ourselves to others who seem to be progressing faster and feel discouraged. However, "The Tortoise and the Hare" reminds us that success is not solely determined by speed or talent. It is the consistent effort and dedication that lead to triumph.

So, let us learn from the tortoise's example and embrace the qualities of patience, persistence, and hard work. No matter how slow our progress may seem, as long as we keep moving forward, we will eventually reach our goals.

Thank you for listening.

The Lion and the Mouse

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I would like to share with you a heartwarming story that teaches us the importance of kindness and compassion – "The Lion and the Mouse."

Once upon a time, in a dense jungle, there lived a mighty lion. One day, while taking a nap, the lion was awakened by the tiny footsteps of a mouse running across his body. Furious, the lion caught the mouse in his paw and was about to eat it when the mouse pleaded for mercy, promising to help the lion someday.

Intrigued by the mouse's words, the lion decided to release it. Months later, the lion found himself trapped in a hunter's net. He roared in distress, desperately trying to break free. Hearing the lion's cries, the mouse rushed to the scene and saw the lion's plight. Without hesitation, the mouse began gnawing at the net, eventually setting the lion free.

The lion was astonished and grateful for the mouse's help. He realized that even the smallest creatures can make a big difference. From that day forward, the lion and the mouse became the best of friends, always looking out for each other.

This beautiful story teaches us the value of compassion and the importance of helping others, regardless of their size or status. Just like the lion, who spared the mouse's life, and the mouse, who returned the favor, we should always be ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In today's fast-paced world, acts of kindness often go unnoticed or are overshadowed by self-interest. However, "The Lion and the Mouse" reminds us that kindness and compassion have the power to create strong bonds and transform lives.

So, let us embrace the spirit of compassion and make a positive impact on the world around us. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."

Thank you for listening.

different people have different career outlooks. some people want to become civil servants; some people hope to start their own business; some people dream of being freelancers, and so on.

however, my ideal job is teaching. firstly, i’m told that teachers have a high income. with the high income, i can open a training school to help the children in poor families with their education. secondly, teachers always have summer and winter holidays, thus i will have more free time to relax myself. more importantly, teachers are angels to students, who can pass on the knowledge to students as well as help them develop their hobbies and interests. i can’t imagine how happy i will feel when i see my students become elites.

in order to be a qualified teacher, i should read more books to acquire more knowledge, and train my patience and improve my communication and handwriting abilities.
