Title: The Importance of Reading
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone!
Today, I would like to talk to you about the importance of reading. Reading is an essential skill that we should all develop from a young age. It not only helps us improve our language skills but also broadens our knowledge and imagination.
Firstly, reading helps us develop our language skills. By reading books, newspapers, or magazines, we can expose ourselves to different writing styles and vocabulary. We can learn new words and phrases, which can enhance our speaking and writing abilities. Furthermore, reading can improve our grammar and sentence structure, making us more confident and effective communicators.
Secondly, reading broadens our knowledge. When we read, we acquire new information about various subjects. Whether it's history, science, or literature, reading allows us to explore different topics and expand our understanding of the world. It opens our minds to different perspectives and encourages us to think critically. Through reading, we can become more knowledgeable individuals, ready to face any challenges that come our way.
Lastly, reading stimulates our imagination. When we read, we enter a world of endless possibilities. We can visualize the characters, settings, and events in our minds. This imaginative process helps us develop creativity and empathy. We learn to put ourselves in someone else's shoes and understand their thoughts and feelings. Reading fuels our imagination and allows us to dream big and strive for greatness.
In conclusion, reading is a powerful tool that can transform our lives. It helps us improve our language skills, broadens our knowledge, and stimulates our imagination. So, let's make reading a daily habit and encourage others to do the same. Remember, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Thank you!

Title: The Power of Kindness
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone!
Today, I want to talk to you about the power of kindness. Kindness is a simple yet powerful act that can make a big difference in the lives of others, as well as our own.
Firstly, kindness spreads positivity. When we show kindness to others, it creates a ripple effect. It inspires and motivates others to be kind as well. Kindness can brighten someone's day, make them feel valued and appreciated. It can turn a bad day into a good one and bring a smile to someone's face. The power of kindness lies in its ability to create a positive and harmonious environment.
Secondly, kindness builds strong relationships. When we are kind to others, it fosters trust and mutual respect. Kindness helps us connect with people on a deeper level, building meaningful friendships and relationships. It creates a sense of belonging and support. We all want to be surrounded by people who are kind and caring, and by showing kindness, we attract positivity into our lives.
Lastly, kindness makes us happier. When we show kindness to others, it not only benefits them but also boosts our own happiness. Research has shown that acts of kindness release endorphins, which are chemicals in our brain that make us feel good. Kindness also reduces stress and anxiety, improves our mood, and increases our overall well-being. By being kind, we create a positive cycle of happiness in our lives.
In conclusion, kindness is a powerful force that has the ability to spread positivity, build strong relationships, and make us happier. Let's choose kindness every day and be the change we want to see in the world. Remember, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." Thank you!

Ladies and Gentlemen:
My topic is Honesty.
As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.
65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 2002, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.
Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.
Thank you.

It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Then today I want to talk something about dreams and reality.
As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy said, “Ideal is the beacon. Without ideal, there is no secure direction; without a direction, there is no life.” So there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible will connect with our most treasured dreams? Maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. To others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do .But everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse, your subject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.
Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of reality into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!
In the end, I want to share with you a poetry named " I think I can".
Maybe you can not understand the meaning of the poetry , But do not be worried ,Let me tell you the meaning
Thank you for your listening!

, when I decided to come to Beijing for study, my friend
s helx x xxewell Party for me. They said: after your graduation, you should look for a job in Beijing, and then in 2015

Time flied and 2 years passed. Now I am a graduate. My teachers and classmates always ask me: what's your plan after your graduation? Go back home, stay in Beijing, or go to some other places? And I always answer: I will stay in Beijing. I make this decision not because of my promise to my friend
