然后，他回到讲台上，把苹果举起来左右晃了晃，问：“有哪位同学闻到苹果的味了吗？”
有一位学生举手站起来回答说：“我闻到了，是香味儿！”
“还有哪位同学闻到了？”苏格拉底又问。
学生们你望望我，我看看你，都不作声。
苏格拉底再次走下讲台，举着苹果，慢慢地从每一个学生的座位旁边走过，边走边叮嘱：“请同学们务必集中精力，仔细嗅一嗅空气中的气味。”
回到讲台上后，他又问：“大家闻到苹果的气味了吗？”
这次，绝大多数学生都举起了手。
稍停，苏格拉底第三次走到学生中间，让每位学生都嗅一嗅苹果。回到讲台后，他再次提问：“同学们，大家闻到苹果的味儿了吗？”

校长来到了袋鼠家，袋鼠先生客气地给他让座。“哎哟，”校长刚坐下去就跳了起来，“椅子上有枚图钉。”“对，我知道那儿是有个图钉。我就是喜欢把图钉放在椅子上。”袋鼠先生说。
校长捡开图钉，正准备坐下，“嗖”，一个吐有唾沫的小纸团飞了过来，正好打在校长的鼻子上。“请您原谅，校长先生，”袋鼠太太说着，走了过来，“我就是喜欢扔这东西玩。”
突然，“乒乓”一声巨响从洗澡间里传了出来。“别怕，先生，那响声是我们放在药柜里的鞭炮声。我们就是喜欢听这吵吵闹闹的.声音。”袋鼠太太对校长说。

“喂，你不明白吗？这样会损伤橡树的。”躲在树枝上的一只乌鸦责备它说：“如果让树枝都暴露出来，树就会枯死的。”
猪答道：“得了，让它枯死好了。我看不出它有多大用处，如果它永远没有了，我决不会惋惜。我要的是橡子，是橡子把我养得肥肥胖胖的呀。”
“忘恩负义的东西！”橡树用严肃的口吻答到：“抬起你的脑袋往上瞧瞧，这些橡子都是从我身上长出来的呀！”
