  【摘 要】学生综合语言运用能力的提高离不开大量的语言实践,讲故事不失为一种好方法。文章分析了story-telling在高师《基础英语》课堂上的重要性,故事内容的选择以及story-telling对提高学生语言能力所产生的积极作用。笔者认为在基础英语课堂上开展story-telling有利于激发学生的学习兴趣,增强学生的自信心;培养他们的自主学习能力和创新思维能力。
