Winter Vacation English Diary
During the winter vacation, I spent my time in a meaningful and enriching way. I took this opportunity to improve my English skills by engaging in various activities.
Firstly, I joined an English language course. Every weekday morning, I attended classes where I learned grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. The teachers were experienced and patient, and they provided many opportunities for us to practice speaking. Through these classes, I was able to enhance my understanding of English and improve my ability to communicate effectively.
In addition to the language course, I also participated in a language exchange program. I found a language partner online who was a native English speaker. We would meet up regularly to practice speaking in both English and Chinese. This exchange allowed me to not only improve my spoken English but also gain insights into Western culture and customs. It was a fantastic experience that broadened my horizons.
Furthermore, I dedicated a significant amount of time to reading English books. I selected a variety of genres, such as novels, biographies, and self-help books. By immersing myself in these texts, I was exposed to different writing styles and expanded my vocabulary. Reading also helped me develop my critical thinking skills and broaden my knowledge base.
Lastly, I made use of online resources to enhance my listening and speaking abilities. I listened to English podcasts and watched English movies and TV shows. Through these activities, I could familiarize myself with different accents and improve my listening comprehension. I also tried to imitate the native speakers' pronunciation and intonation, which helped me sound more natural when speaking English.
In conclusion, my winter vacation was a productive one as I actively worked on improving my English skills. Through attending classes, participating in language exchanges, reading English books, and utilizing online resources, I was able to make significant progress. I am confident that these efforts will benefit me in both my academic studies and future career.

Today, there are many business in my mother’s company. So my mother told me to help my uncle who is the manager of my mother’s company. I sat in my mother’s office and help her answer the telephone. While I was free, I was writing my homework. Although I also have a lot of time to do my homework, I still do it. Because in my mother’s office, I had nothing to do. If I did nothing, I was wasting my time and my life. I can’t do the foolish.
