On the eve of Spring Festival, my family has a big dinner called the reunion dinner. We eat many delicious dishes, such as dumplings, fish, and sticky rice cake. After dinner, we stay up late to welcome the New Year. We watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV and set off firecrackers at midnight.
On the first day of the new year, we visit our relatives and friends. We exchange red envelopes, which contain money, as a symbol of good luck. We also say "Happy New Year" and give blessings to each other. It is a joyous time to reconnect with loved ones.
During the Spring Festival holiday, I have a lot of fun. I play with my cousins, visit temples, and watch lion dances. We also eat a lot of delicious food, such as tangyuan, a sweet rice dumpling. It is a time to relax and enjoy the festivities.
