The next day, we took a cruise along the Li River. The scenery was absolutely stunning! The karst mountains with their unique shapes stood tall on both sides of the river, and the water was so clear that we could see the fish swimming underneath. It felt like we were sailing through a painting.
During our stay in Guilin, we also visited the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is a famous landmark of the city. It got its name because the hill looks like an elephant drinking water from the river. We climbed up to the top of the hill and enjoyed the panoramic view of the city.
In the evenings, we explored the local night markets and tried various local delicacies. The food in Guilin was delicious and unique, especially the famous Guilin rice noodles. We also bought some souvenirs to bring back home as a memory of our trip.
