My Bookmarks
I have always been an avid reader, and one of my favorite hobbies is collecting bookmarks. Over the years, I have accumulated a wide variety of bookmarks, each with its own unique design and story. In this essay, I will introduce three of my most treasured bookmarks.
The first bookmark I want to talk about is a simple yet elegant one. It is made of thin, silver metal and has a delicate floral pattern engraved on it. This bookmark was a gift from my grandmother, who knows how much I love reading. Every time I use this bookmark, I am reminded of her love and support for my passion for literature. It has become a symbol of our bond and serves as a constant reminder of her presence in my life.
Another bookmark that holds great significance for me is one I bought during a trip to a foreign country. It is made of handmade paper and features a beautiful landscape painting. This bookmark reminds me of the breathtaking views I witnessed during my travels. It brings back memories of the people I met, the cultures I experienced, and the stories I discovered. This bookmark is not only a reminder of my adventures but also a source of inspiration for future journeys.
The third bookmark I cherish is a personalized one that I received from a close friend. It is made of leather and has my name engraved on it. This bookmark represents our friendship and the shared love for literature that brought us together. Whenever I use this bookmark, I am reminded of our deep connection and the joy we find in discussing books and recommending new titles to each other. It serves as a reminder of the power of friendship and the importance of shared interests.
In conclusion, my collection of bookmarks is not just a random assortment of paper and fabric, but a reflection of my personal experiences, memories, and relationships. Each bookmark holds a special place in my heart and tells a unique story. They are more than just placeholders in a book; they are gateways to cherished moments and treasured connections.

My Bookmarks: A Journey Through Time
As I sit down to read, I reach for my trusty bookmark, a simple strip of paper with a faded print. This bookmark is more than just a tool; it is a gateway to the past, a reminder of the stories I have read and the places I have traveled through literature.
One of my earliest bookmarks is a handmade one that I created in elementary school. It is a colorful collage of pictures and words cut out from magazines. Looking at this bookmark takes me back to a time when reading was a magical escape, where I could immerse myself in fantastical worlds and embark on thrilling adventures. This bookmark is a reminder of my journey as a reader, from the innocence of childhood to the curiosity of adolescence.
Another bookmark that holds sentimental value is a ticket stub from a book fair I attended in high school. This bookmark represents not only my love for reading but also my passion for discovering new authors and genres. It reminds me of the excitement I felt as I rummaged through stacks of books, searching for hidden gems and literary treasures. This bookmark is a symbol of my growth as a reader and my ever-expanding literary horizons.
One of my most cherished bookmarks is a dried flower pressed between the pages of a classic novel. This bookmark was given to me by my grandmother, who was an avid reader herself. It serves as a connection to her, a reminder of the countless hours we spent discussing literature and exchanging book recommendations. This bookmark is a testament to the power of literature in bringing generations together and creating lasting memories.
In conclusion, my bookmarks are more than just placeholders; they are artifacts that hold memories, emotions, and experiences. Each bookmark represents a different chapter in my life, a different story that has shaped who I am today. As I turn the pages of a book, I am not just reading words on a page; I am embarking on a journey through time, guided by the bookmarks that mark my progress.

I really want to have a beautiful bookmark. I also want to make a beautiful bookmark by myself.
Today, I saw a pile of beautifully cut colored cardboard on my desk. Facing the cardboard on the table, I was stunned, thinking: what a pity to throw away, can we turn waste into treasure? I thought about it, and finally came up with a good way to make bookmarks.
First of all, I designed the shape of the bookmark to be half of a love heart, and cut the cardboard into a love heart. Then, I drew a small flower in the middle of the half of my love. Then I drew a love heart in the bract of the small flower, and drew a semicircle on the edge of the half of a love heart, a circle in the semicircle, and a triangle in the petal. A bookmark is ready. I made several bookmarks like this one in a row. I put the bookmark on the book just right for it.
Compared with the beautiful bookmark in the store, my bookmark looks rough. But it's made by my own efforts, so it looks very beautiful.
