一般过去时英语作文练习:Where is the park? 篇一
Last summer, my family and I went on a vacation to a new city. One day, we decided to visit the park to enjoy the beautiful scenery and have a picnic. However, we encountered some difficulties in finding the park.
As we were unfamiliar with the city, we asked a local resident for directions. He kindly told us to walk straight for two blocks and then turn left. Following his instructions, we walked for a while and finally arrived at the park. It was a large and well-maintained park with lush greenery and colorful flowers. We found a perfect spot under a big tree and set up our picnic blanket.
While we were enjoying our picnic, I noticed a group of children playing on the swings and slides. Their laughter filled the air and added to the joyful atmosphere of the park. I also saw some people jogging or walking their dogs, taking advantage of the beautiful weather.
After our picnic, we decided to explore the park further. We strolled along the winding paths, admiring the various plants and trees. We came across a stunning rose garden with numerous blooming roses of different colors and fragrances. The sight was breathtaking and we couldn't help but stop to take pictures.
As we continued our walk, we stumbled upon a small lake with ducks swimming gracefully. It was a peaceful and serene scene. We sat on a bench nearby and watched as the ducks glided across the water.
After spending a few hours at the park, we decided it was time to head back. We packed up our belongings and left the park with wonderful memories of our day. Despite the initial difficulties in finding the park, it turned out to be a fantastic experience that we would cherish forever.
In conclusion, our visit to the park last summer was a memorable one. Although we had some trouble finding it, the park itself was worth the effort. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, had a delightful picnic, and explored the various attractions within the park. It was a day filled with happiness and relaxation, and we can't wait to visit more parks in the future.
一般过去时英语作文练习:Where is the park? 篇二
When I was a child, my family used to live in a small town. There was a park nearby where my friends and I loved to play. One day, we decided to have a hide-and-seek game at the park.
We gathered at the park in the afternoon and divided ourselves into two teams. I was on the hiding team, so I closed my eyes and counted to ten while my friends went to find hiding spots. Once I finished counting, I began searching for my friends.
I ran around the park, looking behind trees and bushes, trying to find my friends. I could hear their muffled giggles as I approached their hiding spots, but they were too quick for me. They would run to another hiding spot before I could catch them. It was a thrilling and exciting game.
After a while, I finally found my first friend hiding behind a bench. I tagged him and he joined my team to help me find the others. Together, we searched every nook and cranny of the park. Some of my friends were hiding in the playground, while others were hiding in the tall grass. It was a challenge to find them all, but we were determined.
As the sun began to set, we realized that we had spent hours playing the game. We gathered at a picnic table in the park to catch our breath and rest. We laughed and shared stories about our hiding spots and close calls. It was a moment of pure joy and friendship.
Eventually, it was time to go home. We said our goodbyes and promised to play again soon. As I walked back home, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the park and the memories it had given me. It was a place where we could be carefree and have fun with our friends.
In conclusion, the park was not only a place for relaxation and enjoyment, but also a place for childhood adventures and unforgettable memories. The hide-and-seek game we played there was just one of the many fun activities we enjoyed at the park. I will always cherish the time spent there and the friendships that were formed.
