One day, I received a phone call from a friend who had lost her dog. She described the dog, and I immediately knew it was Buddy. As much as I loved him, I knew deep down that he belonged to her. I agreed to meet her, and when Buddy saw her, his tail wagged uncontrollably. It was clear that he recognized her.
