小学三分钟英语故事大全 篇一

The Lion and the Mouse

Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a mighty lion. He was feared by all the animals in the forest because of his strength and power. One day, while taking a nap under a tree, the lion was woken up by a tiny mouse running over his body.

The lion caught the mouse in his paws and was about to eat it when the mouse begged for mercy. The mouse said, "Please, Mr. Lion, let me go. I promise I will repay your kindness someday."

The lion was amused by the mouse's bravery and decided to let it go. He laughed and said, "How can a tiny creature like you ever help me, the king of the jungle?"

But the mouse was determined to prove its worth. A few days later, the lion got caught in a hunter's net and roared for help. The mouse, remembering its promise, quickly gnawed through the ropes and set the lion free.

The lion was grateful to the mouse and realized that kindness can come from the smallest of creatures. From that day on, the lion and the mouse became the best of friends, living peacefully in the forest.

The moral of the story is that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

The Tortoise and the Hare

In a peaceful meadow, there lived a tortoise and a hare. The hare was known for his speed and arrogance, while the tortoise was slow but steady. One day, the hare challenged the tortoise to a race, confident that he would easily win.

The race began, and the hare quickly dashed ahead, leaving the tortoise far behind. The hare was so far ahead that he decided to take a nap under a tree, thinking he could still win the race.

Meanwhile, the tortoise continued to plod along at his own pace, never stopping or giving up. When the hare woke up from his nap, he was shocked to see the tortoise near the finish line.

With a burst of energy, the hare sprinted towards the finish line, but it was too late. The tortoise had crossed the finish line first, winning the race.

The hare learned a valuable lesson that day – slow and steady wins the race. The tortoise, with his determination and perseverance, had outsmarted the hare's speed and overconfidence.

The moral of the story is that it's not always the fastest or strongest who wins, but the one who keeps going and never gives up.

什么才是真正的勇气

A father was worried about his son, who was sixteen years old but had no courage at all. So the father decided to call on a Buddhist monk to train his boy.

The Buddhist monk said to the boy’s father, “You should leave your son alone here. I’ll make him into a real man within three months. However, you can’t come to see him during this period. ”

Three months later, the boy’s father returned. The Buddhist monk arranged a boxing match between the boy and an experienced boxer. Each time the fighter struck the boy, he fell down, but at once the boy stood up; and each time a punch knocked him down, the boy stood up again. Several times later, the Buddhist monk asked, “What do you think of your child?”

“What a shame!” the boy’s father said. “I never thought he would be so easily knocked down. I needn’t have him left here any longer.”

“I’m sorry that that’s all you see. Don’t you see that each time he falls down; he stands up again instead of crying? That’s the kind of courage you wanted him to have.”
