My Grandmother's Experience in Learning English
My grandmother is a remarkable woman who never stops learning. Even in her 70s, she decided to take up the challenge of learning English. I admire her determination and perseverance, and I would like to share her inspiring story with you.
It all started when my grandmother realized that she couldn't communicate effectively with her international friends. She felt frustrated and limited in her ability to express herself. So, she made a decision to learn English, no matter how difficult it might be.
At first, she enrolled in a local language school and attended classes twice a week. She learned basic vocabulary and grammar, but she soon realized that she needed more practice to improve her speaking and listening skills. She decided to join an English-speaking club, where she could engage in conversations with native speakers.
The club sessions were challenging for my grandmother, as she had to overcome her shyness and fear of making mistakes. However, she was determined to improve, and she found the courage to participate actively in discussions. The club members were patient and understanding, and they encouraged her to keep practicing.
In addition to attending classes and joining the English-speaking club, my grandmother also incorporated English into her daily routine. She started watching English movies with subtitles and listening to English songs. She even subscribed to an English newspaper to improve her reading skills. She would spend hours every day practicing her pronunciation and reading aloud.
After a year of hard work and dedication, my grandmother's English proficiency significantly improved. She could hold conversations with her international friends easily and even helped translate for them during meetings. Her confidence soared, and she became an inspiration to others who were also interested in learning English.
My grandmother's experience taught me that age is not a barrier to learning. With determination and perseverance, anyone can achieve their goals. I am proud of her for never giving up and for proving that it's never too late to learn something new.
My Grandmother's Experience in Teaching English
My grandmother is not only an avid learner of English but also a passionate teacher. She has been teaching English to children in our community for the past five years. I would like to share her experience and the valuable lessons she has learned throughout her teaching journey.
My grandmother's interest in teaching English started when she noticed the lack of English language education in our community. Many children had limited access to quality English classes, and she wanted to make a difference. She decided to open a small English learning center in her own house, where she could teach children after school.
At first, my grandmother faced various challenges in teaching English. The children had different levels of proficiency, and some of them were not motivated to learn. However, she never gave up and employed creative teaching methods to engage the children. She used interactive games, songs, and storytelling to make the learning process fun and enjoyable.
In addition to the classroom activities, my grandmother also emphasized the importance of daily practice. She encouraged her students to read English books, listen to English songs, and watch English movies. She believed that language learning should not be confined to the classroom but should be integrated into everyday life.
Moreover, my grandmother understood the importance of building a supportive and encouraging environment. She created a safe space where children could freely express themselves and make mistakes without fear of judgment. She praised their efforts and progress, which boosted their confidence and motivation to learn.
Over the years, my grandmother's English learning center has grown, and she has successfully helped numerous children improve their English skills. Many of her former students have gone on to achieve academic success and pursue careers where English proficiency is crucial. My grandmother's dedication and passion have made a significant impact on the lives of these children.
Through my grandmother's teaching experience, I have learned that teaching is not just about imparting knowledge but also about inspiring and motivating students. It requires patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for the subject. I am grateful to have such an amazing grandmother who continues to inspire me and others through her teaching.
“apple。” Apple。”
