如何转化英语后进生是每一位英语教师最头疼的问题。根据本班实际情况，我发现学困生占全班总人数的50%，其中基础差的是赵文宣、张国军、张军飞、魏玉琴。但张宝、张立东、马伟东和王丹是由于平时作业马虎，上课不专心，不能按时完成作业导致学习成绩差，还影响其他同学学习。怎样改变后进生这种怕学、厌学的状况呢？ 措施如下：
一、对症下药，改变习惯
一部分后进生学习差的原因主要是由不良的学习习惯造成的，对于这部分学生，必须帮助他们形成理想的学习习惯，有计划、有步骤地转变他们的行为习惯。大多数的后进生由于学习基础差，都会有一些懒惰心理，学习不够主动。例如，懒动脑，喜欢抄作业，在这个问题上，我的处理办法就是，先让他们抄
二、指导预习，提前进入
后进生大多养成了等待=依赖的习惯，学习不主动，不会温故知新。因此，对后进生的预习不能只是泛泛而提，而要把它当作英语教学的一个重要环节，对其进行精心指导，逐步规范要求，使其达到预期目的。在预习方法上，先要求学生用英语词典查单词，自己解决生词；然后，指导学生按词、词组、句、文、疑难等进行分项，即对重要词组、有用短语等进行罗列，作好预习笔记，并且记录预习过程中遇到的问题和难点等，以便在上课的时候能够抓住教材的重点，把握听课的方向，跟上老师授课的进度。
