闽南话对英语语音学习的负迁移作用
一、引言
语言的三个重要组成是语法、语音和词汇。着名英国语言学家吉姆森 (A.C.Gimson) 认为,真正学会一种语言,需要掌握近乎 100% 的语音,而语法占50% ~ 90%、词汇只需 1%.在我国传统英语教学中,语音教学往往被忽视,致使英语学习者通常有较高笔试水平,听说水平却一般。我国地广人多,除普通话外,还有各式各样的地方语言,以泉州市为例,其方言主要为闽南话,在英语语音学习中,除受到普通话的语言迁移,还受到闽南话的语言迁移,由于闽南话在泉州地区使用的普遍性及高频性,闽南话在泉州地区对于英语语音学习的迁移影响较普通话更高。在英语学习者中,大多数认为语音学习问题可追溯到中小学时期,即刚接触英语教学时。目前,泉州地区小学已基本开设英语教学课程,因此,研究泉州地区小学生英语教学中闽南话对英语语音学习的影响也成了问题。
特伦斯·奥德林 (Terence Odlin) 教授在其专着《语言迁移》中对语言迁移进行了定义 :语言迁移是指学习者学习的目标语言与其已掌握或者正在学习的语言之间共性和异性所造成的影响。一般认为闽南话音位体系包括元音、辅音和音调等三要素,而英语语音学习的基本内容则是元音和辅音。因此,研究闽南话对英语语音学习的语言迁移可以从元音和辅音这两方面进行研究。
二、泉州地区闽南话与英语的元音
在英语语音教学中,对于辅音发音错误,大多数教学者都可以轻易发现并指导矫正,而如果元音发音错误,即便是以英语作为母语的教学者也很难指出发音错误的症结处并予以矫正。因此,英语语音学习中,元音发音极为重要。
(一)元音发音方式
一般认为在发音过程中,控制元音发音在舌位方面主要有三个因素 :舌头高度、舌头最高处在口腔中的位置、口唇形状。闽南话与英语的元音发音控制也是主要受到上述三因素的影响。在对闽南话和英语元音发音进行比较可发现,两者大部分的发音较为接近,例如在闽南话中的 /u/、/i/、/?/ 与英语中的 /u:/、/i:/、/?, ?/等发音较为一致 ;一部分发音则存在不同,其中最具代表性的为 :英语元音中有 / / 发音,而在闽南话和普通话语系中却没有该发音。在这种情况下,闽南话对于英语的语音学习起到了正迁移作用。
(二)元音的发音长度
在英语元音中,存在长元音和短元音,例如 sit 和seat/i-i:/、good 和 food/u-u:/、bod 和 board/? -?:/ 等,两者之间的发音差别主要体现在元音的音长不同,尽管有的为同一字母,却在发音上不同。由于在闽南话或者普通话中不存在这样的分类,对于接受英语教学的小学生而言,很难区分单词的长短音,特别是在听力方面,容易由于语速较快造成误判。在这种情况下,闽南话对于英语的语音学习起到了负迁移作用。
三、泉州地区闽南话与英语的辅音
一般认为,闽南话中存在 /p/、/m/、/ts/、/t?/ 等 13 个辅音。英语中则 存 在 /v/、/t/、/d/、/k/、/t?/ 等 28个辅音。经过比较可以发现,闽南话的 13 个辅音在发音位置、方式上与英语既有相同,也存在一定差异。例如:辅音 /v/ 在英语中存在,而闽南话中却没有。
(一)送气和不送气辅音
在英语发音体系中将六大辅音分为送气辅音和不送气辅音两大类。这两种类型的辅音特征明显、容易区分,例如pet/pet/ 和 bet/bet/、tie/tai/ 和 die/dai/等。闽南话辅音发音中 /p/ 和 /b/、/t/和 /d/ 等送气辅音和不送气辅音与英语中对应的辅音在发音方式上几乎一致。因此,在学习这几组辅音时,闽南话对于英语的语音学习起到了正迁移作用。
(二)鼻辅音
英语中的鼻辅音有 /?/、/m/ 和 /n/3 个,闽南话中也对应有 3 个鼻辅音,且发音基本一致。但英语对于鼻辅音的应用较闽南话更为灵活,在英语中鼻辅音既可以用在词首,也可以用在词尾 ;而闽南话中则基本用在词首位置。
闽南话和英语各有独立的语音系统,闽南话必然会对英语语音的学习产生负迁移。但如上所述,闽南话对于英语语音学习既存在负迁移,也存在正迁移。
四、泉州地区小学英语语音教学的建议
(一)抑制负迁移,促进正迁移
对于大部分泉州地区小学生而言,英语学习起点是建立在普通话、闽南话的基础上,闽南话在所难免对于英语语音学习产生正、负迁移。因此,泉州地区小学英语教师应当在提高自身英语语音理论水平基础上,分析闽南话与英语发音之间的异同,并指导学生了解闽南话对英语语音学习的正、负迁移,在此基础上,指导学生克服负迁移,促进学生加强正迁移。在具体的教学实践中,教师可通过一些绕口令或者趣味性对话等手段,对正、负迁移现象进行诠释,使得学生容易将二语语音混乱的词句区分开来,改变基于闽南话的发音方式,抑制负迁移、促进正迁移作用。
(二)提高英语教师专业水平
大部分小学生都是通过模仿教师来学习或者矫正自己的英语语音,对于教师具有较大依赖性。因此,英语教师的专业水准对于学生语音是否标准有很大影响。小学生英语初学者需要学习、了解发音时的嘴形及发音部位等语音专业知识,这也就要求教师要加强自身语音理论素养,并能充分利用多媒体技术等教学方式来展示语音知识。具体来说,小学教师应当在课外学习英语语音相关理论的书籍、文献等,并研究闽南话音位体系与英语语音之间的差异 ;除理论学习之外,还可参加教学实践,如参加英语语音方面的教学培训,通过学习实践的方式,提高自身专业和教学水平。
(三)引导学生形成适合自身语音学习的方法
是否拥有适合自身特点的学习方法是能否形成标准英语语音的关键。小学生在自学、自制等方面尚无较强能力,无法根据自身特点建立一套符合自己的语音学习方法。因此,作为小学生英语启蒙老师应当从每个学生的具体情况入手,了解、分析各个学生在英语语音学习中存在的问题、困难,并根据各个学生自身学习特点提供相应的建议和措施,帮助学生建立适合自身的学习方法。例如 :对于羞于开口的学生,教师可在课堂上给予开口机会,并适当进行激励和鼓励,让其出声读英语,克服胆怯心理,只有学生出声读英语,教师才能借此纠正学生语音上存在的错误。总之,英语教师应根据学生特点,具体情况具体分析,因材施教,帮助建立适合其自身的语音学习方法,这将为其未来数十年的英语学习打下坚实基础。
(四)营造良好学习气氛
英国语言学家埃利斯 (Ellis R) 认为,母语知识何时会干扰新语言学习起决定性作用的两个非语言因素是环境、学习的阶段。由此可见,是否拥有良好的英语语音学习环境对学生语音能否标准影响很大。在教学实践中,教师经常发现学生学不好英语或发音不标准,这在很大程度上就是因为没有良好的语音环境,也就是周围说英语的人太少、说英语的情况太少。因此,教师可以将枯燥无味的课本知识与形式多样、趣味丰富的活动结合起来,让学生能够沉浸在真实的语言环境和气氛中,达到耳濡目染的效果。也可通过设置英语角,定期让小学生进行语音会话和交流,甚至邀请外教参加,创造一个热烈、活跃的英语氛围。
总之,闽南话作为泉州地区的主要方言,在泉州地区存在对小学生英语语音学习启蒙阶段语言的正、负迁移现象。小学英语教师可以在了解语言迁移这一基础上,充分发挥正迁移,抑制负迁移,并同步通过提供自身专业水平、营造良好学习气氛等方式,促进小学生英语语音学习,为其未来英语学习打下坚实基础。

信息时代为众多领域带来了积极影响,特别是教育领域。人们逐步开始善于利用碎片化时间进行知识、技能的学习,因此微课教学与学习模式随之应运而生,成为一种短小、知识点突出,教学效率得到提升的一种较新颖的教学方式进入课堂。
本文根据建构主义、视听教育理论、学习动机理论等理论基础支撑,结合微课及高中英语词汇教学的特点,探究微课在高中英语词汇教学中的应用研究。本文主要对国内外文献进行综合梳理,对微课的概念、特点及国内外研究现状进行分析,结合问卷调查、学习者需求分析及教学大纲教学设计原则,设计了具体的微课案例并将其应用于教学中,对其实施效果进行了评价。
本文主要包括以下几个方面:第一部分为引言,主要阐述了微课的发展背景;第二部分是文献综述,将微课概念及不同时期微课的发展变化归纳;第三部分是理论基础,支撑微课发展变化及微课设计研究;第四部分是针对高中英语词汇微课前期分析与设计,对学校学生、教师存在的不同问题的分析,列举出具体微课实例;第五部分进行微课的实施与评价,并对微课应用效果进行评述;最后为研究总结,归纳阐述微课对英语词汇教学的启示。

Based on the theory of constructivism, the theory of audio-visual education,learning motivation theory and other theories, the thesis would explore the applicationof micro class used in English Vocabulary Teaching in senior high school with thecombination with the characteristics of micro class and English Vocabulary Teaching,.
In this paper, the concept, the characteristics and the research status of the micro lessonare summarized through the comprehensive analysis of the literature at home andabroad. Under the integration with the questionnaire survey, the demanding analysis oflearners and the design principles of the teaching syllabus, the paper design the specificmicro lesson cases evaluate the effect of implementation.
This paper mainly includes the following aspects: the first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates on the background of the development of the micro lesson. Thesecond part is the literature review, which summarizes the concept of the micro lesson,the development and the changes of the micro lesson in different periods. The third partis the theoretical basis to support the development and change of the micro lessondesign research. The fourth part is about the analysis and design of the high schoolEnglish vocabulary in the early period, also the analysis of the different problems ofschool students and teachers.
