甘南州处于青藏高原东部边缘与黄土高原接壤的甘、青、川三省交界地带,有拉卜楞寺、郎木寺具有藏文化特点的寺院和则岔石林、尕海湖、桑科草原等独具特色的自然景观.据统计,全州可供开发的旅游资源约7类,分为33种,共计146处.其中自然景观56处,占整个旅游资源的38.35%;人文景观90处,占整个旅游资源的61.65%,有些资源融人文景观和自然景观为一体.这些资源种类全、品位高、存量大、特色浓、适应国内外不同层次游客的需求,并以原始性、多样性、神秘性著称,开发潜力巨大.因此,甘南州对外旅游服务人员对外语尤其是英语的学习和使用有自己独特的方法和经验,这对提高旅游服务质量有很大的启发性和借鉴性.本文对此进行了调查研究.
