晚上好!很高兴能有这样一个机会,和大家一起交流孩子的英语学习情况,帮助孩子学好英语,用好英语,为今后的英语学习打好基矗。
小学阶段是建构外语学习方法和策略的基础阶段。孩子们通过学习英语,不仅获得相应的语言和文化知识,而且从中可以总结与完善自身的学习方法和策略,促进他们全面发展。整个小学英语的学习分低、中、高三个阶段,一二年级着重学生基本语音的模仿,三四年级则注重英文的规范书写和仿写(五六年级才是孩子真正开始接触语法。)那么四年级是很关键的一年,因为四年级起到了承上启下的作用,我们要在三年级良好的基础上让孩子继续保持英语学习的兴趣,为将来升入高年级打下坚实的基矗如果你的孩子以前的英语没有学好,那相对来说,现在会学得比较累;同样地,如果现在不学好英语,那将来的英语学习也是不难想象的。
在英语课堂上,大部分孩子都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题,积极跟着老师拼读单词,朗读课文。其实这也制造了一种假象,孩子认为自己常常被老师提问,认为自己能够回答老师的问题,于是认为自己的英语学得很不错,自我感觉特别好。于是下课后在英语上花的时间就少了。其实要学好英语,课上占40%,其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固,加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识,当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间,而不是每个学生私有的时间,所以不可能照顾到每个学生,不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识的接受能力都是不同的`,有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象,但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识,要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫,不然肯定会和别的同学产生差距。
那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢?英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言,大多数学生除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语,所以,在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补习英语。学好英语,不外乎就是在听,说,读,写这些方面下功夫。
首先说一下“听”,每个学生都有和书相配套的磁带(有的甚至买了光盘),光靠上课听一点点的磁带,学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。不会听就不能说,我差不多每节英语课后都布置听的作业。听录音跟读,不是鹦鹉学舌,听见什么就跟着说什么。所读的知识已经学过了,跟录音读应该是提高自己的听力和口语表达能力,要学
生尽力地去模仿录音里的发音,从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。
接下来是“说”,英语是一门语言,学了就是要说,要和别人交流。在课上我会用各种方法来刺激学生,激发他们说英语的积极性,大多数学生也确实做得很好。可是班级里人多,对每个人来说,说的机会就少。所以下课也要说;放学回家也要说。在家里,希望家长能鼓励孩子说英语,孩子需要你的鼓励,你听了他们说的只要简单表扬一句,他们就会很满足了。有时候你们也可以让孩子反过来教你,他们会觉得很自豪。
接下来是“读”。有句话:“读书破万卷,下笔如有神”,学英语也是这样,学英语要培养语感,也就是语言的感觉,如果有很好的语感,那么不管是说话,还是做题目,都很轻松,很简单了。那么语感怎么来呢?就是靠读出来的。一定要让孩子养成每天读英语的习惯,这是学英语的最基本的学习习惯了。如果你的孩子还没有养成读的学习习惯,请你一定要督促他,刚开始也许会比较难,时间久了,就会习惯成自然。就像早上起来要刷牙洗脸一样,要让他们把读英语当作每天必做的一件事。
最后是“写”。四年级英语已经对学生有一定的书写要求:26个字母(包括大
小写)的书写和一些简单的单词拼写。单词的拼写对学生来说比较难,但是背单词是学英语的必经之路。单词往往背过就容易忘记,所以要不断的背,不断的翻新,这是没有办法的。我要求学生在背单词的时候边拼边写,嘴巴和手都要动起来,嘴上十遍不如手上一遍。
