The impact of urban planning on land 篇一
Urban planning plays a crucial role in shaping the development and utilization of land in cities. It involves the allocation of land for various purposes, such as residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational areas, as well as the design and layout of infrastructure and public spaces. The decisions made in urban planning have a significant impact on the use, distribution, and conservation of land resources.
One of the key impacts of urban planning on land is the efficient use of limited space. In densely populated cities, land is a scarce resource, and effective urban planning helps to optimize its utilization. By carefully allocating land for different purposes and considering factors such as population density, transportation networks, and environmental considerations, urban planners can ensure that land is used efficiently and sustainably.
Another impact of urban planning on land is the creation of livable and sustainable environments. Urban planners take into account factors such as green spaces, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and access to essential services when designing cities. By incorporating these elements into the urban fabric, urban planning can enhance the quality of life for residents and create more sustainable communities. For example, the allocation of land for parks and green spaces not only provides recreational opportunities but also contributes to the overall well-being of residents and helps to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Furthermore, urban planning can have a significant impact on land values. The way in which land is zoned and designated for different uses can influence its market value. For instance, land designated for residential purposes in desirable neighborhoods tends to have higher value compared to land designated for industrial or commercial purposes. Urban planning decisions can, therefore, have a direct impact on property values and the economic dynamics of a city.
Lastly, urban planning can contribute to the preservation and conservation of land resources. By designating areas for environmental protection, heritage preservation, or agricultural use, urban planning helps to safeguard valuable land resources from indiscriminate development. This ensures that natural habitats, cultural landmarks, and agricultural lands are preserved for future generations.
In conclusion, urban planning has a significant impact on land resources in cities. It helps to optimize land use, create livable environments, influence land values, and preserve valuable resources. Effective urban planning is crucial for the sustainable development and long-term prosperity of cities.
The impact of urban planning on land 篇二
Urban planning plays a vital role in managing the growth and development of cities, and its impact on land is multifaceted. One of the key areas in which urban planning affects land is in the control and regulation of land use. Through zoning regulations and land-use plans, urban planners determine what types of activities and developments are allowed in specific areas. This helps to ensure that land is used in a manner that is compatible with its intended purpose and the surrounding environment.
Additionally, urban planning influences the spatial distribution of land uses within a city. By strategically locating different types of land uses, such as residential, commercial, and industrial areas, urban planners aim to create functional and balanced communities. This helps to minimize the negative impacts of incompatible land uses, such as noise, pollution, and traffic congestion. By carefully considering the needs and preferences of residents, urban planners can create neighborhoods that are conducive to a high quality of life.
Furthermore, urban planning plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable land use practices. With increasing concerns about environmental degradation and climate change, urban planners are incorporating principles of sustainability into their decision-making processes. This includes promoting compact and efficient land use patterns, encouraging the use of public transportation and non-motorized modes of transport, and preserving green spaces and natural habitats. By doing so, urban planning can help to reduce the ecological footprint of cities and enhance their resilience to environmental challenges.
Another important impact of urban planning on land is in the creation of public spaces and the improvement of the urban fabric. Through the design and layout of streets, parks, plazas, and other public areas, urban planners can enhance the aesthetics and functionality of cities. Well-designed public spaces not only provide opportunities for recreation and social interaction but also contribute to the overall sense of place and identity within a city.
In conclusion, urban planning has a significant impact on land in cities. It regulates land use, influences the spatial distribution of land uses, promotes sustainable practices, and shapes the urban landscape. Effective urban planning is essential for creating livable, sustainable, and resilient cities. By carefully managing land resources, urban planners can contribute to the long-term prosperity and well-being of urban communities.

The impact of urban planning on land use and land cover in Pudong of Shanghai, China
Functional zones in cities constitute the most conshttps://p.9136.com/1wponents of newly developed urban areas, and have been a hot spot fordomestic and foreign investors in China, which not only show the expanse of urban space accompanied by the shifts both
in landscape (fromrural to urban) and land use(from less extensive to extensive), but also display the transformation of regional ecological functions.By using thetheories and methods of landscape ecology, the structure of landscapes and landscape ecological planning can be analyzed and evaluated forstudying the urban functional zones' layout. In 1990, the Central Government of China declared to develop and open up Pudong New Area so as to promote economic development in Shanghai.Benefited from the advantages of Shanghai' s location and economy, the government of PudongNew Area has successively built up 7 different functional zones over the past decade according to their functions and strategic goals.Based onthe multi-spectral satellite imageries taken in 1990, 1997 and 2000, a landscape ecology analysis was carried out for Pudong New Area ofShanghai, supported by GIS technology.Green space (including croplands) and built-up areas are the major factors considered in developingurban landscape. This paper was mainly concerned with the different spatial patterns and dynamics of green space, built-up areas and newbuildings in different functional zones, as influenced by different functional layouts and development strategies. The rapid urbanization inPudoag New Area resulted in a more homogeneous landscape.Agricultural landscape and suburban landscape were gradually replaced by urbanlandscape as the degree of urbanization increased. As a consequence of urbanization in Pudong, not only built-up patches, but also newly-builtpatches and green patches merged into one large patch, which should be attributed to the construction policy of extensive green space as theurban development process in Pudong New Area. The shape of green area of 7 functional zones became more and more regular because of thehorticultural needs in Shanghai urban planning. Some suggestions were finally made for the study of future urban planning and layout. 作 者: ZHAO Bin Nobukazu Nakagoshi CHEN Jia-Kuan KONG Ling-yi 作者单位: ZHAO Bin,Nobukazu Nakagoshi(Graduated School for International Development and Cooperation, Hiroshima University, Kagamiyama, Higashi-Hiroshima 739-8529,Japan)CHEN Jia-Kuan(Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for Biopersity Science and Ecological Engineering,Institute of Biopersity Science, Fudan University, Shanghai 200433, China)
